This can't be avoided as far as I know but workshop folder can be moved to another drive as described here: This folder is used only for steam, rf2 unpacks these workshop items in its own folders so there is double content.

Steam creates workshop folder where it downloads items user is subscribed to. If you want to save disk space on drive where rf2 is installed there is a way to move steam workshop content to another drive.

Because that specific site happen to use the SteamCMD to download mods I think. Or one can probably use reliably from now on. So now one can manually download any RimWorld mod using the SteamCMD. I think this means Tynan did enable anonymous download from steams workshop using the SteamCMD. I stopped entirely using steam a long time ago after being fed up with the DRM (Digital Right Minimization) there. Me i stay with Dwarf Fortress until one can download from the workshop like from don't starve. No proper info is given of how old it actually is.

Mods downloaded tends to be really outdated.

Most mods can be obtained from github or Д«ut is more of a hassle or impossible for some mods without steam. So this must be a bummer/error from Ludeon's Hand. Ludeon have apparently disabled download from the steam workshop.ДЄs a Example doing the same for don't starve works. So the following statement is not true any more.
